19.7 How to Exercise CCPA Rights
Verifiable Consumer Request:
- Email privacy@thewordminer.org with subject line “CCPA Request”
- Specify whether “Right to Know” or “Right to Delete”
- Provide sufficient information to verify your identity:
- Full name
- Email address
- Description of your relationship with the ministry
- Describe your request with reasonable specificity
Verification Process:
- We will verify your identity using information already on file
- We may request additional information if necessary
- We will confirm receipt within 10 business days
- We will respond within 45 days (may extend up to 90 days for complex requests)
Authorized Agent:
You may designate an authorized agent to make requests on your behalf by:
- Providing written authorization signed by you
- Verifying your identity directly with us
- Verifying the agent’s authority to act on your behalf
No Fee:
We do not charge for processing verifiable consumer requests unless excessive, repetitive, or manifestly unfounded.
19.8 California “Shine the Light” Law
California Civil Code Section 1798.83 permits California residents to request information about disclosure of personal information to third parties for direct marketing purposes.
We do NOT share personal information with third parties for their direct marketing purposes.
19.9 California Minors
California Business and Professions Code Section 22581 allows California minors under 18 to request removal of content they posted.
If you are a California resident under 18:
- You may request removal of content you posted in community areas
- Contact privacy@thewordminer.org with specific content details
- We will remove or anonymize the content where possible
- Important: We cannot remove PUBLIC Facebook group posts from search engines or third-party archives
Note: Removal does not ensure complete deletion from all systems (backups, cached versions, search engines, screenshots) but we will make good-faith efforts.
20. NEVADA RESIDENTS
Nevada residents have the right to opt-out of the sale of certain covered information collected on our website.
WE DO NOT SELL YOUR COVERED INFORMATION as defined by Nevada law (NRS 603A).
